I am no longer on f+cebook, but I am on X (twitter) and will post in my discord channel, displaying media in my business premises and local shops and farm shops

I am a health and fitness coach, and serve ladies and gentlemen of a certain age, as well as the younger generation. I have passionately been in business for 24 years.

I am on Facebook, Instagram ( this will kick me into sharing more posts), and I have a professional website http://www.janeshields.co.uk. I will start locally, and can think of quite a few businesses that will be interested.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity, and I look forward to spreading the word.

Excited to join such an important initiative to move away from these giant chains to supporting local community businesses/farmers. Love it!

How about a poster for the general public, to encourage them to sign up to the site ?

    – Will show potential farmers / producers that there is a growing market for their wares
    – Will encourage the public to actually start to think about buying direct and missing out the supermarkets.
    – Some might even know of a producer that they can talk to about joining the site.
    – Might draw in a few more donations

    1. Hi Lee, thats a very good idea – i will get our design and marketing team to make some of these. thank you

    My initial plans are:
    1) I will visit my local farm shop and suggest that it will be beneficial for them to get themselves registered on this site. (Free advertising to attract locals who may not be aware that the shop exists).

    2) Will Google for a list of farms in my local area. I Wil then contact these farms with a view to cataloguing any that are able to supply directly to the public. I will also encourage them to register with the Hub.

I will promote the hub by word of mouth to family and friends, and all who I meet on my day-to-day excursions.

  7. Looking forward to starting this. There’s quite a few artisan producers and farm shops around.

Would it be an idea to have a list of farms and producers that have been approached so they don’t get multiple visits or spammed with invitations.

    1. Don’t you think it would be a good thing for producers to keep hearing about it from different people?

I am so encouraged and excited about this. I’ve been thinking about how I can help the farmers and dairies and feeling so powerless as an individual. I am also passionate about influencing Scottish people to eat real food, know where their food comes from and support their producers. This gives me a platform and I’m ready to help

  9. Wow, this such an amazing initiative, and I can see it working especially as many people are now conscious of where their food comes from. A lot of people like myself would love to buy directly from the farmers.
I will keep checking to see if there is a hub close by.
Thank you for all you do as farmers, you are appreciated. 🙏🏽👍🏽
